Most suitable seasons for trekking and why?
The most suitable season for trekking is in rainy season due to its foggy climate and greenery. It is easy to climb in the rainy season as the atmosphere is cool during rain. Also, the best you can get is the rainbow after the rain. Peb fort comes under heavy rain prone area and we experience various waterfalls in the way of the trek. A trek is easy, there is no risk in climbing this trek during the monsoon.
The Second best season could be winter for trekking. As most of the trekkers prefer this season due to the cool climate and clear sky. Vikatgad Trek has a beautiful site scene with no greenery, but still worth it from the top.
Each season gives a different experience, so every season is the best of its own. As Matheran Ranges comes under rainforest, during monsoon it gives a completely different vibe.
Additional information which you need to know
This trek is considered a trek for beginners from the Matheran route but could be difficult from Anandwadi. This trek has confusing routes and it is preferable not to trek alone and be in the group if trekking from Anandwadi. The trek includes cliffs and beautiful site seeing and it is advised to maintain the decorum and cleanliness of this place. My place is really beautiful and prefers not to spoil its beauty by littering around or hurting any animals.
Monkeys are great in numbers, so be aware of them. They sometimes become very aggressive which can lead to disasters, so it is advised not to involve in any type of mischief with them. Carry water as there are neither places in between to fill water, nor any shops in the way from Anandwadi.
